‘Mosquito tornado’ storms Sichuan village, China
A ‘mosquito tornado’ recently appeared above a village’s farmland in Fawangsi Town, Sichuan, China, drawing public attention.
Locals described the tornado as a column of white smoke at least tens of meters high.
The mosquitos reportedly gathered and scattered but remained in the form of a tornado for several days.
A similar phenomenon, albeit on a much larger scale, was recorded in Russia last year.
“These are male mosquitoes swarming around one of several females in order to mate, there is nothing wrong about this phenomenon,” entomologist Lyudmila Lobkova told Kamchatka Inform.
