Tropical Storm Flossie strengthened into the third hurricane of the 2025 eastern Pacific hurricane season at around 21:00 CST on June 30 (03:00 UTC on July 1).
As of 09:00 CST (15:00 UTC) on July 1, the center of Flossie was located 245 km (150 miles) south of Manzanillo, Mexico. Flossie had maximum sustained winds near the center of approximately 155 km/h (100 mph), with higher gusts. Minimum central pressure was estimated at 984 hPa, and it was moving west-northwest at 16 km/h (10 mph).
A general northwestward to west-northwestward motion with a slight decrease in forward speed is expected for the next few days. On the forecast track, Flossie is expected to move away from southwestern Mexico today and tonight.
Hurricane-force winds extended outward up to 35 km (25 miles) from the center, and tropical-storm-force winds up to 150 km (90 miles).

A Tropical Storm Warning is in effect from Punta San Telmo to Playa Perula. A Tropical Storm Watch is in effect from areas east of Punta San Telmo to Zihuatanejo, and from north of Playa Perula to Cabo Corrientes.
Hurricane Flossie was expected to produce rainfall totals of 75–150 mm (3–6 inches), with isolated totals of up to 205 mm (8 inches), across parts of the Mexican states of Guerrero, Michoacán, Colima, and Jalisco through July 2. The heavy rainfall could trigger life-threatening flooding and mudslides, particularly in areas with steep terrain.
Swells generated by Flossie were forecast to affect portions of the coast of southwestern Mexico over the next few days. These swells were likely to cause life-threatening surf and rip current conditions.
